In addition to our ongoing commitment to meet or exceed all environmental requirements applicable to our operations, Nordion is committed to going green. In an effort to continuously improve our environmental performance Nordion is:

• Asking every employee to pledge their support to “A Billion Acts of Green” and “Take It Up” campaigns.
  
  
• Reviewing our annual waste audit, highlighting successes as well as areas for improvement.
  
  
• Establishing environmental objectives to reduce waste and use less harmful materials.
  
  
• Working with our suppliers to ensure that cooperatively we can minimize environmental impacts associated with our operations.
  
  
• Encouraging all employees to check their areas and dispose of any unnecessary or expired hazardous materials.
